Modeling and Minimization of Acoustic Resonances in Ferroelectric Thin-Film Varactors

Project Description

Tunable capacitors (varactors) currently are thoroughly investigated for meeting constantly tightening requirements from modern communication links, e.g. in tunable matching networks or phase shifters. Varactors based on the ferroelectric material barium strontium titanate (BST) show promising properties (low loss, high tunablity, high integrability) and are one central topic of research at the IMP.
