The following bus and tram lines run directly from Darmstadt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to the stop “Schloss”, which is located at the Wissenschaftsschloss. From there, it is approximately a 200 m uphill walk to the Hans-Busch-Institute.

If you take one of the regional bus lines 671, 672, 673, X71, X74, or X78, you can continue one stop beyond “Schloss” and get off at “Jugendstilbad”, which is located directly next to the Hans Busch Institute.

If you are traveling from Frankfurt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) on the Odenwald Express to Darmstadt-Ost, you can transfer there to any bus serving the Jugendstilbad stop. This stop is located directly in front of the Hans Busch Institute.

From the interstate A5 (arriving from Frankfurt, Heidelberg) or the A67 (arriving from Mainz or Mannheim) you have to exit on the „Darmstädter Kreuz“, direction „City Center" (Stadtmitte). Following the signs “Darmstadt City Center” you will be directed to the Rheinstrasse – on this road, follow the signs “B26” for approx 3,5km, entering finally a tunnel (City Ring). Leave the tunnel on the left two lanes, stay on these lanes and make a left turn following the city-ring on the next traffic signal. After 200m you will see the signs for a parking garage called “Justus-Liebig-Garage”. We recommend to park here and to walk the remaining 200m to the Hans-Busch-Institute.

Frankfurt Airport (EDDF|FRA) is located approximately 25km north of Darmstadt. The AirLiner airport shuttle operates every 30 minutes, providing a direct connection from the airport to the Darmstadtium, Darmstadt's Science and Congress Centre. From there, it is only a 5-minute walk to the Hans Busch Institute. The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus.
