CELTA

Horizon2020 Innovative Training Network “CELTA”

CELTA is an innovative training network in the framework of the European union’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions. This European Training Network consists of eleven Universities all over Europe and 14 industrial partners. The theme of CELTA is to convey a common language for engineers and physicists working on electronic, photonic and optical Terahertz solutions. So far, electronics and optics are still fairly disjunct research fields with very little overlap. We believe that combinations of these two domains will yield more powerful solutions. A large number of lectures are offered to the 15 CELTA PhD students. The educational goals will further be enforced by secondments at partner institutions and internships at the industrial partners. A core part of CELTA is the yearly International Travelling Summer School on Microwaves and Lightwaves where all PIs and PhD students participate, in addition to further students and guest speakers.

The topics covered by the Terahertz Systems Technology group circle around incorporation of photomixer technology in Terahertz Systems. For more information, please refer to the official CELTA homepage: http://www.celta-itn.eu/
